The Kalamazoo Optimist Hockey Association (KOHA), established in 1965, is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to provide every boy and girl in southwest Michigan the opportunity to enjoy at excel at the game of hockey.
KOHA's vision is to be a regional destination and national leader for youth hockey. From Learn To Skate through high school-aged players, KOHA has programs for everyone! KOHA is proud to be one of USA Hockey's original Model Associations, and continues to forge new partnerships to provide our players with the best development opportunities.
On December 3, 2018 USA Hockey announced the host sites for their 2020 USA Hockey National Championships, and KOHA is proud to have been chosen as one of the host locations!
We look forward to working with our partners in the community to make this an incredible experience for all of the participants and visitors to Kalamazoo and the surrounding area!
We are very excited for our 2005 birth year players as they set their sites on making our 2019/20 14U AA K-Wings team and experience the opportunity of participating in a National Championship Tournament in their hometown!
Thank you USA Hockey for the honor of being selected; we are excited to host our first ever National Championship during our 55th Anniversary season!
