KOHA is happy to announce the hiring of Drew Moffit as our 10U A Kwings (2010 birth year) head coach for the 2019-20 season. We are fortunate to have had qualified candidates from which to chose, and are excited to begin the coaching announcements for our 55th season with a KOHA alum and an active member in our hockey community.

Moffit is currently in his first season as head coach of the Portage Central High School Hockey program, and will continue in that role as he takes on the 10U A Kwings coaching duties. Moffit has been a head or assistant coach with KOHA's travel program for several years, is a Michigan scout for the Kenai River Brown Bears of the NAHL, and is Co-Owner of Kalamazoo Kettle Corn.

"Any time we can find a quality person who believes in our development philosophy AND grew up in our program - it's a slam dunk. Drew is more than just a hockey guy; he's committed to our community both personally and professionally. I couldn't be more excited to have him taking the reigns of our 10U A K-Wings team for our 55th season," said KOHA's Hockey Director, Matt Kakabeeke.

"I'm really excited for the opportunity to be working with the 10U players next season. It's going to be a fun change of pace from working with the high school group. I'm looking forward to helping them transition to the travel level, and continuing to develop their skills through the direction set by KOHA and the ADM. I'm fortunate to have the opportunity to evaluate talent at various levels, and in my opinion, KOHA is one of the premiere youth hockey programs, and at the forefront of player development in our state," said Moffit.

Congratulate Drew when you see him around the rink!
