KALAMAZOO, MI: The Kalamazoo Optimist Hockey Association is excited to announce that Kalamazoo native, Adam Hall, who got his start in our community and with our club, will be visiting on Thursday, December 13, 2018.

Adam, who has a desire to give back to his hometown and our association specifically, was instrumental in KOHA being awarded an equipment grant from the NHLPA’s Goals & Dreams Fund to provide underprivileged youth in our area the opportunity to experience our great game. We partnered with The Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Kalamazoo and held our first introduction session this fall. The kids that participated had a terrific time, and are thankful to Adam and the NHLPA for the opportunity.

Now retired from the NHL, Adam resides in Tampa Bay and will be returning to our area in December with the high school team he currently coaches. On Thursday, December 13th, Adam will be on the ice for a special 8U practice followed by sessions with our 10U A/AA and 12U A (Gold)/12U AA travel teams.

“KOHA and the Kalamazoo hockey community is where my love for the game began. I was extremely fortunate to have hard work, opportunity, and talent combine to enable me to fulfill my dream of playing in the NHL. I can't wait to get on the ice with KOHA kids chasing that same dream," said Hall.

Also on the ice that evening will be USA Hockey’s ADM Regional Manager, Bob Mancini, who was Adam’s coach during his time with the USAH National Team Development Program.

We have set-up a SignUpGenius for the 8U practice, and space is limited for this special opportunity. Click here to get your player signed up to practice with Adam Hall on December 13th from 5:30-6:30pm at Wings Event Center (I-94 & Sprinkle Rd.).
