Our goal was to have a go-to place for parents to understand our development philosophy with useful information, articles, links, and videos. Our practice plans will be posted (periodically) to help parents make sense of the "chaos" on the ice from the stands - and trust us, the chaos is a good thing! We LOVE the chaos - but more importantly, it keeps the kids engaged, smiling, active and learning how to move their bodies on the road to becoming the best athletes they can be.

We keep them moving with games like Sharks & Minnows (heck, even our 14U players LOVE this version of on-ice tag), utilization of soccer balls, ringettes, discs, barrels and more while focusing on the ABCs (agility, balance and coordination) necessary to develop them as athletes first.

WHAT YOU WON'T SEE: You won't see our 8U coaches using valuable ice time teaching things like position play, face-offs, breakouts, power plays and systems. At this age, sports science has proven that it's more beneficial for us to focus on their athletic development. (No coach has ever cut a kid for being too good a skater!)

WHAT YOU WILL SEE: You will see our coaches encouraging them to have fun, stay engaged, and develop as athletes through skill development that utilizes small-area games and stations to increase puck touches - both of which improve their ability to make decisions with less time in tighter spaces, while getting comfortable with the contact inevitable in our game to keep them safe as they continue on their hockey journey.
