KOHA will be updating its House B Evaluation and team selection process to help the program run more efficiently and effectively.

For two years we have faced issues at the 14U B level, and after each year we make strategic changes to address those challenges. Our goal with the upcoming changes is to have our House B registrations earlier, our evaluations earlier, and our draft earlier so that by the end of June, we know how many teams and at what ages we will be able to field.

Additional benefits to these changes are:

• Uniforms will be ordered earlier.

• Payments can start sooner and finish sooner which will benefit both families and KOHA.

• As soon as the season starts, teams will be able to start practice right away, rather than going through evaluations and the draft before being able to start practicing as a team.

• The practice schedule will be set earlier so that both House B and travel teams will have that information and be better able to plan their family and back-to-school fall schedules more easily. 

What are the House B Changes?
For the 2020-21 season, we will be starting the House B evaluation process the week following the travel tryouts. Players will need to be registered for House B in order to participate in the evaluations, which are tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, May 27, 2020 (5/27) and Monday, June 1, 2020 (6/1). Additional information to be announced.

Travel tryouts are scheduled for 5/18 – 5/20 and Silver team tryouts are currently scheduled for 5/21. Players that are not selected to those teams will have until May 27th to register for the House B season and take part in the evaluation skates.

(Registration for KOHA Travel tryouts as well as the House B Broncos season will open after April 1st which is when USA Hockey opens their registration for the 2020-21 season.)
