KOHA Pee Wee A K Wings are D6 CHAMPIONS
A letter from the KOHA Travel Director to the entire KOHA Pee Wee A K Wings team on their hard-fought and well-deserved District 6 championship:
Congratulations to all of you, coaches, parents and especially the
players on a great win last night. KOHA is very proud to have a team
win Districts and take part in the state tournament. Your team has
continued to show what hard work and commitment to a common goal can
achieve.
As I watched the game last night I realized that there were people
there that had no connection to the team, other than being excited KOHA
family members cheering for one of our teams. Coach Hayward had his team
there in game white jerseys. Coach Matt Kruzich was there with his JV
team watching the entire game before practice. and Coach Tulik was there
watching with his Hounds team and I saw his players trying to take in
as much of the game as possible fully dressed before they had to take
the ice for their practice.
The atmosphere was unbelievable with the crowd hanging on every
play. Your fans were an example of what hockey fans should be, cheering
for their team and not getting to wrapped up in the refs calls. We
strive to create that experience for all the kids that play in KOHA and
it is really exciting when we are there to see a team accomplish
what your team did. As I told Coach Kalleward, My wife wanted to go out
for a nice dinner for valentines day. Once I told her about your game we
decided a hockey game and dinner at the rink was a better option. Best
valentines day ever!!!!!!
Congratulations again and good luck in the state tournament.
